New build apartments in Evesham.
Flat roofing works to two blocks totalling approx. 350sqm.
Roof Construction
Timber decking by others, Sarnavap 500E, Sarnatherm Tapered tissue faced insulation mechanically fixed, Sika Sarnafil G410-15EL Membrane fully adhered to the insulation and finished with Sarnatred walkway tiles.
Additional works include the Man anchor system to all areas supplied by PTSG. Weathered by Shield Roofing.
Rooflights to the both block community spaces, supplied by Moores Roofing Supplies. Installed by Shield Roofing.
Capping to the parapet tops on both blocks, fabrications by Format Architectural. Installed by Shield Roofing.
Challenges
The main issue we found was obtaining waterproofing materials. Following on from the Covid pandemic, and strikes abroad, there was a shortage of raw materials required for Sika to manufacture the Single Ply Membrane.
Conclusion
The roof was signed off by the client without any remedials.
