The Worlds largest LIDL distribution centre.
*One of the first Sika Promelt roofs installed in the UK*.
Hotmelt inverted roofing works and roof finishes to “the Break out roof” totalling approx. 1,000sqm.
Roof Construction
Concrete decking to falls by others, Sika Promelt hotmelt waterproofing, Sikatherm XPS insulation, Sika water control layer, Kinley Raaft system supporting Italian made Cassalgrande “Amazonian Dragon Black” reinforced with anti fracture mesh Porcelain tiles.
Challenges
This was part of a massive 100,000sqm roofing installation. The majority of the works undertaken by Hathaways Roofing & Cladding using Sika Sarnafil T membranes to the distribution centre. The challenge was getting design from the client so that we can progress works efficiently.
Conclusion
There is a small detail still to be completed once the client has decided on the perimeter detailing and glass balustrade system.
